The Wilmington Channel (CH.8) is a locally originated program service which is active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as part of your basic cable channel line-up. What started out with a simple bulletin board format, has evolved into a much more sophisticated presentation containing local advertising, announcements, events, information and photo scenes from around the community.
There is also a regular schedule of video programming which is being played throughout each day
The Governor's Weekly Press Conf. - This program is produced and distributed by Channel 17 in Burlington each week that the Governor holds a press conference.
Massachusettes School of Law Ed. Forum - This series of programs is produced at the Mass. School of law. We air them each week in 2 different formats and receive new programs on a monthly basis.
The Wilmington Baptist Ministry - This program is produced locally by the Wilmington Baptist church. It is shown several time thoughout the week. Each week presents a new sermon.
Vermont Symphony "On Stage"-
"Vision Talk"- A program presented by the Vermont Association for the Blind.
Wilmington Selectboard Meeting - A taped version of the weekly selectboard meetings for those who are unable to attend.
Our mission is quite simple.......To expand and broaden the use of Channel 8 as a local forum with numerous options and benefits. We envision this taking place not only through our own efforts, but also through the interest and efforts of local members of the community. We invite your comments, questions, suggestions and participation. If we can develop ways of working together, the possibilities are only limited by the imagination.
We are always in search of new programming that would be of interest to people in the community. If you have special interests, hobbies and a video camera, bring your ideas to our attention.
